TCD x AMSTERDAM: LIT UP

We were marooned on a Wednesday at a bar called Friday (in Dutch— Vrijdag). 

Our unnamed sailing vessel (a maritime violation) stalled in the middle of the Amstel River on a blissful June day. If it weren't for the uncharacteristic sunshine and good company, we might've been a bit more distraught.

This video is a virtual salute to fearsome Captain Erik, who might've gone down with the ship had I not coaxed him with a few beers.

The song? "One Kiss" (Calvin Harris x Dua Lipa). I chose this track because it was the last song I listened to with my best friend in New York. I love this line in particular: "something in you / lit up heaven in me...."

Amsterdam, you know how to light up in more ways than one.
